Trailer Mounted Gasifier
This trailer mounted gasifier below is being towed behind a Wolseley from 1943. The photograph was taken in Yallourn in Victoria, Australia. Towing a trailer unit meant the gasifier did not have to be fitted to the vehicle reducing weight and bulk on the car. The trailer could also be then unhitched to use the vehicle unencumbered of the apparatus when running on standard petrol fuel.
